I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Gonzales. He has done two cervical facet injection trials on me and then a bilateral cervical radio frequency ablation. All the while, he maintained lines of communication, informing me of everything he did as he was doing it. He answered all my questions in a non-condescending manner. He was aware of the unique way in which natural red heads metabolize pain medications (including opioids) differently from non-red heads and he adjusted dosing appropriately. He explained everything to me so that I understood. He is highly skilled, highly educated, and I would recommend his practice to anyone suffering from chronic neck and back pain like me. The rest of the staff at New Mexico Pain Associates was also very professional and caring. The medical assistant helping me today was Gabby, and she was a gem. She talked to me throughout the whole process, stayed with me when I asked her to, and brought me an ice pack for comfort following my procedure. She helped me feel comfortable and heard. It’s a rare thing to be treated so well when all too often these days patients are gaslit and made to feel invisible. I appreciate the care I received today and gladly offer a five star review.
